Venture into Kenya's wild north and discover the rare Samburu Special Five, dramatic landscapes, and a remote safari experience unlike anywhere else in East Africa.

Samburu National Reserve Tucked away in the arid northern frontier of Samburu County, Samburu National Reserve is a wild and remote paradise unlike anywhere else in Kenya. The park is celebrated for the exclusive "Samburu Special Five" — the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and gerenuk — rare species found nowhere else in the country. The life-giving Ewaso Nyiro River runs through the heart of the reserve, drawing elephants, lions, leopards, and crocodiles to its banks and creating some of the most dramatic wildlife sightings in East Africa.
Each one led by someone who lives here. Each one walked twice by our team before it shipped to the catalog. Pick a route, or send us a note about the one you wish existed.
